This program began with helping the participated inmates discover inner strength through authentic interpersonal interactions. Within the group process, participants engaged in mutual reflection and reinterpreted their life journeys as well as developing a positive self-concept. After thoroughly assessing both risk and protective factors, the program’s joiners were guided to formulate comprehensive relapse prevention strategies and plans, then encouraged to make a commitment and initiate small, achievable steps to fulfill their goals.
