Mobile-Visit Application

  1. Who can apply:
    (1) The individual requesting a visitation is a family member or nearest relative and unable to go to the facility to visit the inmate. (Proofs of identification and relationship are required.)
    (2) The individual requesting a visitation is a lawyer or an attorney and unable to go to the facility to visit the inmate. (Proofs of identification, power of attorney or others are required.)
    (3) Due to any of the following circumstances, it is inconvenient for any individual other than those specified in the preceding two items to visit the inmate in the facility, but they are in urgent need to contact the inmate:
    A. The individual is aged 65 or older, or under the age of 12. (Proofs of identification are required.)
    B. The individual may be or is infected with a disease defined in the Communicable Disease Control Act Article 3, or suffers from a major illness or injury defined in the National Health Insurance Act, or has physical or mental disabilities. (Proofs of identification and others evidenced the mentioned situations are required.)
    C. The individual or his/her property thereof suffers damage caused by the disasters defined in the Disaster Prevention and Protection Act Article 2, paragraph 1. (Proofs of identification and others evidenced the mentioned situations are required.)
    D. The individual requests a visitation because any of the inmate’s family member or nearest relative is deceased or in a life-threatening situation. (Proofs of identification and others evidenced the mentioned situations are required, and the application shall be submitted within one month after those deceased or 7 days after those in a life-threatening situation.)
    E. The individual is one of the diplomatic and consular personnel from the inmate’s country or region or one of the personnel that may represent the inmate’s country or region. (Proofs of identification and others evidenced the mentioned situations are required.)
    F. Other serious or special situations permitted by the correctional administration. (Provide the documents that the administration required.)
  2. How to apply:
    (1) Create an account at the Convenience Service Portal (https://service.mjac.moj.gov.tw/MBLPWEB).
    (2) Accept the correctional administration to collect your personal information.
    (3) Enter your personal information.
    (4) A verification email will be automatically sent to your email account.
    (5) Click the link displayed in the email to complete verification.
    (6) Select “Apply for Visiting Appointment Permit” (Query Inmate) under “Account & Services.”
    (7) Select the service you would like to apply.
    (8) Upload files (Make sure to upload a clear photo and all required documents for approval).
    (9) Send your application.
    (10) Check application status. Select “Visiting Appointment Permit Application Status” from the dropdown of “Account & Services.” (If the service you applied for is still not available to select after two working days, please contact us at 04-23891296 Ext. 211.)
    (11) Schedule a new visit (Select the visitation type).
    (12) Select the inmate.
    (13) Select other visitor (This is only available if the other visitor also get their permission to visit the inmate).
    (14) Select the date and time slot.
    (15) Confirm the visitation details.
    (16) Check the text message on your mobile phone (The message is automatically sent after the application is approved. Please keep the message well and click the link on the message when your scheduled time comes.)
  3. Download Mobile-Visit V.3.0(行動接見3.0)App:
    (1) Download from Play Store for Android device.
    (2) Download from APP Store for ISO device.
    (3) To make sure your mobile-visit go smoothly, after installing and before the visitation, please turn on the APP and allow it to access your phone’s camera and microphone.
