In May 2023, the poster slogan competition, “Drive Sober, Happy Longer”, was specially held to deepen inmates’ awareness of driving under the influence (DUI) prevention, saying no to drive after drinking alcohol, by mixing words and colors into paintings to make the anti-drunk driving campaign more interesting, while boosting prisoner’s critical thinking about operating while intoxicated and cultivating their empathy.
The event received an enthusiastic response, with a total of 59 entries submitted. Seven outstanding works were gained recognition, and the winning pieces were displayed in the waiting area of Peide Hospital and different sites inside the prison which would effectively enhance the depth and breadth of primary prevention efforts against drunk driving.
