In order to foster family support and strengthen emotional connections between inmates and their relatives, Taichung Prison, in collaboration with Chunghwa Telecom Co., Ltd., held a Mother’s Day phone-call reunion for inmates from May 1st to May 3rd. Thereafter, from May 7th to May 9th, another event which had five sessions was conducted to allow prisoners to celebrate Mother’s Day with family face to face. Taichung City Employment Service Office, Taichung City Drug Abuse Prevention Center and Red Heart Association Taichung Branch were invited to join the event and use the chance to disseminate information about different available social resources in hope to enhance the functions of social and family support
