Taichung Prison implemented the “2023 - 2025 Hepatitis C Screening and Treatment Program in Correctional Institutions” in March 2025 in alignment with the national health policy and to maintain inmate’s health. The program offered the selected inmates with screening tests, clinical evaluation and subsequent medical treatment services. A total of 1,316 inmates received counselling, provided informed consent and specimen for testing.
