Taichung Prison early deployed a lot of epidemic prevention measures in response to the new coronavirus on January 2020,and had a meeting on preventive measures against new coronaviruses and influenza during the Spring Festival. On February 18,2020 Taichung Prison conducted a meeting on epidemic prevention measures for new inmates in response to the changes of epidemic, and in the same day the Health Bureau of Taichung City Government held a non-early warning infection control audits and the results met the requirements.

Taichung Prison conducted epidemic prevention and response drills in March, and set up the Health Insurance Department VPN inquiry exit operation at the entrance and exit, and implemented TOCC management and signed a health statement for the personnel entering and leaving the prison.

Taichung Prison actively cooperates with the Government's epidemic prevention measures, monitors the health status of inmates and staff, implements various measures of control, manages the epidemic prevention materials, and is in a difficult situation with it, with a view to safeguarding the health of all inmates.
