An activity was specially held from August 24th until 26th for inmates to talk to their family over phone to relieve their homesickness and help strengthen their family support. At this still-raging COVID pandemic, precaution measures including wearing masks, disinfecting hands and telephones with alcohol were continued carefully taken to prevent viral infection.
Director Lin, Deputy Director Yang, Secretary Xu and other officials visited the activity and shared quality time with attendants. Peh Teh Radio invited Director Yang to record “Peh Teh News” to share this beautiful event and you can find the news from the jail’s website.
This activity is sponsored by Chunghwa Telecom with 60 telephone lines for 4,721 inmates to make free phone calls. Chunghwa Telecom shows its fulfillment of corporate social responsibility which all participants could feel significantly. Finally, the lovely activity were ended with great happiness and thankfulness.
