Returning home at an early date is the shared wish of all inmates. However, the journey home is both anticipated and feared, as it can be fraught with the potential for harm. Family support plays a crucial role as a motivating factor for individuals with substance use disorders to change their lives. To address this, the correctional facility organized the "Family Day" event, inviting various partner organizations, including the Children's Hospital, Caotun Rehabilitation Center, and Taichung Recovery Fellowship, to participate alongside family members. During this event, they interacted directly with inmates who have a history of drug use and provided detailed information about the services and support available to both individuals in recovery and their families. This event aimed to strengthen the healing power of the reintegration journey after release from incarceration. A total of 25 families comprising 71 individuals participated, and it is hoped that with the love of their families and the guidance of professionals, the path to recovery will no longer be a lonely "drug" journey.
